Ok, I may not seem like the type, but I am an avid writer of fanfiction. I have been registered on fanfiction.net since early 2008. I've put up 2 stories only so far, but my trash bin and desk is full to the brink of calamity with trashed story ideas and those which I refuse to post publicly.

My dilemma now is that I have a new idea for a new fanfic, however, I am very reluctant. As I said, I have posted 2 stories before, however, I left them incomplete, leaving quite a lot of people hanging for the past 2 years. Both times I promised to keep the stories going, but both times i just scrapped the story halfway.

So should I start again? I do not fear flames or people blaming me for this stuff, but I really do not want to disappoint the readers. I am also unconfident about this new story and I might just scrap it halfway too.

See when it comes to writing it's hard to please the reader. Your always like is it good enough for them blah blah blah But if u think it's not good enough i say don't post it. U can write it then write a different one and compare the 2 to whats best.

It seems as though you've disappointed yourself more so than that of those who have read your writings. i say finish what you started as a means of your feeling you accomplished it , all the while earning back the attention of your fan readers.

indeed, I truly am more disappointed in myself. I dont really mind peopl critisizing my writing. I am however unconfident in myself due to me scrapping many stories part way through.

I really want to finish one, but I fear that I may scrap this new one if I start it.

finish what you started b4 you venture on to something new. the feeling of accomplishment might just be the motivation you need. could it be possible your criticized because you haven't finished. people always want to know how the story ends. I know i do.

Steven King had scrapped the Story Carey...but i think his wife picked it up or something,,,, ehh then he published it..and guess what...it blew him up publicity wise and money.

ugh.....still.....Fine I guess I'll take a stab at a comeback...no promises though...
