Hi WHITESABBATH,
First of all—thanks. You're a huge part of the PlayStation® community and your posts and comments help make the forum an awesome place to hang out. That's why we want you to know that we're switching the PlayStation forum over to a new community platform in the next few weeks. Eventually, all PlayStation forums will move to this platform so everyone is under the same umbrella.
Don't panic. The current and archived feeds will still be available and you'll still be able to post and reply like always, but we do want to make things work better: it'll be easier for you to interact with other gamers, the system will scale to support the new people pouring in, and we'll give you more options for personalization, like custom avatars.
Our goal is always to promote interesting conversations and collaboration and we want to add extra functionality beyond posting and replying that gives you more ways to interact with your fellow gamers. To that end, here are some of the features we'd like to add to the community in the coming weeks: improved layout and design (nothing drastic, just trying to organize and clean things up), better community management with mods who will be part of the PlayStation® team, micro-blogging, and personalization of your own homepage.
We want to hear your feedback and will start a thread to initiate the discussion. Let us know what you like, what you don't like, and what you think would make the community even better. We'll incorporate as much of your feedback as possible into the new platform.
So stay tuned, you'll be hearing from us again in a few days with more updates. And thanks again for being such an active part of the forum.
Sincerely,
The PlayStation Community Team
