Ok there was no "Horror Game" Tab in our forums, so i guess this fits under the adventure tag.

First things first, this game is AWESOME. It was made by the same people who made the Penumbra series, and those of you who played those know how scary those games were.~~

Most horror games now are quite generic, using predictable jumps and scares and all that jazz, but Amnesias selling point is infact...the ambience. 80% of the game takes place in Pitch black darkness, I mean literally U CANT SEE YOUR SCREEN pitch black!
your only source of light, limited supply of match sticks and a lantern with limited fuel.

Also, you are being chased by horrid monstrosities that are grotesque and abominable. Your weapon of choice......NOTHING. You have absolutely NO WAY to defend yourself except flee and hide~

which brings another nice factor, being in darkness, drains your character's sanity, (As well as looking at monsters) if your sanity drops too far, ur character can only drag his face across the floor as movement and he starts breathing heavily, making monsters see u easily. Since looking at monsters drive you insane, you have to look away while hiding, so you WONT know if they see you or not~

also, Amnesia is waaaay overused in games nowadays, but in this game, it actually makes sense. Your cahracter was being driven insane by the events and to preserve his sanity, he made and drank a potion to make himself forget intentionally so that he can stay sane. You also encounter notes left behind from your 'Previous self' telling you what to do.

This game is best played in the dark, alone and with headphones near max, as well as below 1.0 gamma settings~

I have only had 3 hours of sleep last night because of this game. =D
