The Sims visiting Medieval times next spring

EA to launch spin-off series with The Sims Medieval on PC and Mac; entry adds Hero Sims and lets players control kings and queens, blacksmiths and bards.

The virtual denizens of EA's life simulation series The Sims have no doubt suffered midlife crises. However, they're about to endure a Middle Age crisis. EA today announced that a new entry in the series, The Sims Medieval, will arrive for the PC and Mac in spring 2011.



The Sims travel through time next year.

The title, the first in a series, will have players create heroes, venture on quests, build and control a kingdom, and play every "Hero Sim" character in the game. Additionally, The Sims Medieval gives players the chance to control persons from all walks of life including kings, queens, knights, wizards, blacksmiths, and bards.

The game's quests will include of an array of tasks, including crafting a legendary sword, arranging a royal wedding, protecting the kingdom from an evil sorcerer, and finding the fountain of youth. Additionally, EA promises quests will play out differently depending on which Hero Sim is in action.

As is expected of the franchise, The Sims Medieval will feature a plethora of customization and moral options. Players can erect and expand their kingdoms either by internal growth or outward imperial domination. Additionally, players can choose to embark upon quests for personal fame or for the well-being of their constituents and can personalize their characters' physical appearance, intangible traits, and fatal flaws.

The Sims Medieval is currently in development at Electronic Arts' The Sims Studio

also i find the average nerd loves total war games they r sick
they got afew games out, 1 in roman times, 2 in medieval, 1 in empirical times and their original was shogun,
in it u r given control of a nation and in turn based gameplay u build town, forts and armies and navies, u also form trade agreements alliances and wars between other nations and then wen u do battle u control ur army in real time, the main fun of this series comes from if ur scotland, wat if u kill england in 1080, where do u go next, denmark, france, spain perhaps its all about rewriting history its F'ing sweet!

OMG i can't believe i didn't see this sooner.... OMG i can't wait for that i love the simis although i have been lacking in the playing it since ambitions lol

i wonder will this be a add on to the sims 3 or a whole new game with expansions either way i'll buy it as me and the sims go way back lol...

Yea but they have so far for the sims 3 WA, AMB, HELS, and soone to be FLS & and new ep called After Dark so why couldn't they just make it a ep is stupid the sims 3 has so many possibilities it's stupid they would do that. (if you need me to elaborate on all the short names let me know lol it's how we talk on the sims forum lol)

But yes anything related to the sims i buy no matter what it is b/c i love the sims and its pathetic i would spend my last 50 bucks on a sims game instead of food

no need to break it down(lol), won't be catching me on sims. sorry. i have it here in the home collecting dust. anyone want it.lol there's something for everyone , this one just isn't my cup of tea.

havnt played the sims in a wile, but who knows i may start playing the sims eventually, by awhile, i mean like 6 or 7 years
