Anonymous hacks Malaysian Government _

Anonymous strikes again, this time in my homeland...However...I am okay with this.

The Malaysian government had recently banned 10 file sharing websites to prevent "piracy" of which includes fileserve, thepiratebay, rapidshare, megaupload etc. Anonymous' attack was the response to these IP bans as it takes away the freedom and user rights of Malaysians who surf the net.

I for one am also quite angry at the government and think this censorship is a pretty d*ck move. Added to the fact i recently became a premium member of Megaupload, I've lost a pretty penny thanks to the IP ban.

Furthurmore, our new Prime Minister promised that there would be no internet censorship within our country way back in April. and lo and behold, in May he signed the go ahead to ban these 10 websites.
