i7 2.66 ghz
Gigabyte ex58 extreme mobo
6gb RAM
ATI HD4670 1gb vid card
2 500gb hdd
2 dvd drives
crucial cpu cooler


My cousin is sellin to me for cheap cuz hes gettin a macbook pro. hes huge into photography now. ill prob upgrade it more. but that will do for now Very Happy

the cpu should last you a bit, so the first thing i would upgrade is the video card. it is going to bottleneck you pretty bad.

nvidia gtx 460 video card,
4 gigs ddr2
1 dvd drive
and a 320 gig hdd.

i prefer using a laptop over the pc. couldn't say all what this thing has, but it set me back about 1,500 bucks. Rolling Eyes It's a Special addition by Dell, with all the bells and whistles; and has blue ray. Very Happy

the only thing about a desktop i prefer over a laptop is the desktop is more easily upgradable than a laptop.

Laptop > pc. I havnt been bothered to get a new laptop lol, all my spare money goes to the bikes Very Happy Very Happy And the car Very Happy Very Happy

if you do that you need a new motherboard, and if that is the case you may as well get a new pc. just upgrade the video card for now.
